Hello, my name is Olivier Van Rompuy I love to compose electronic music and program games...
dragoNite started as a project for school (computer science) where I made the top-view 3D engine. The name of this engine is GDE (Game Development Environment). My idea was to make an engine that runs games through a simple script. GDERPG is a first primitive version of this engine. It's primitive because the possibilities are limited...

GDERPG...?
GDERPG is an engine capable of creating your own Console Style RPG, programmed in MSVC using Allegro and JGMOD. The Combat is based on the Dragon Warior classics, but dragoNite is not just a clone. GDERPG has it's own unique features....

*) The GFX
The game runs in a top view 3D-engine. You explore a world that is a combination of linked rooms. The rooms have exits to neighbouring rooms.
The engine is combination between the classic tile-based games and 3D-polygons: the maps are still grid-based but in 3D

*) The game
You play with a character that can equip weapons, armor, shields, boots and helmets. You have an inventory with items. You can learn spells.
In combat you fight monsters in a turn based system...

*) Music and sound
Wave files are used for sounds and MOD's for music, note that the music in dragoNite is from my hands only...

ESC : Exit Game
TAB : Show/Hide Inventory --> left click on item to use, right to appraise
F1 : Show/Hide Game Help
Arrows: Movement
Space : Action/Talk

In combat :

Left mouse (on enemy) : Attack
Right mouse : Cast spell on enemy

Left mouse (on spell) : Select spell (at bottom of screen)

TAB : Show/Hide inventory (see above)
